Aaloak Jaswal is a seasoned leader in digital transformation, innovation, and information and communication technology (ICT), boasting over 20 years’ international experience. With a diverse career spanning private and public sectors, including notable roles at Raytheon Missile Systems, IBM, UNICEF, The Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS (WHO/UNAIDS), the UN Technology Innovation Lab (UNTIL), and as CEO/Founder of Shakti Power Systems. Most recently, he served as Head of Digital Transformation for the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), where he consistently drove impactful change in complex, global environments.

His expertise extends across various domains, including weapons development, ICT, HIV, innovation entrepreneurship, and sustainable energy, with experience on four different continents. A champion of evidence-based data and innovation, Aaloak's leadership has led to the successful implementation of transformative solutions, such as solar electricity installations in conflict areas, and he has provided technical and policy advice to UN organizations, government counterparts, and relevant partners in the technology and public health sectors. He has direct experience in emergency situations such as the 2001 9/11 World Trade Centre attack, 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, 2010 Haiti Earthquake, and 2016 Hurricane Mathew.

Fluent in English, French, Spanish, Hindi, and Haitian Creole, Aaloak excels in engaging with diverse stakeholders from various sectors. His background in International Public Health, Technical Management & Entrepreneurship, and Computer Science, coupled with numerous certifications, including Artificial Intelligence, Design Thinking, and Project Management, underscores his multifaceted skill set.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Aaloak is an avid soccer player and former DJ with a passion for Rock n’ Roll, Porsche 911’s & American Muscle, the arts, interior design, and innovative technologies that advance the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
