Sonya Hull holds a BA and MA in Economics from UNB and Queen’s University (Kingston, ON), respectively.
Over her 30+ year career she has worked as an economist and management consultant for Siemens, Fujitsu, and Vestcor, amongst others, in multiple sectors including healthcare, renewable energy (digital grid), environment and climate change, and the financial sector.
Now as Managing Director of Strategic Industry and Community Partnerships for UNB’s Faculty of Computer Science she is working on the faculty’s vision and growth, that is intricately connected to New Brunswick’s digital transformation pursuit with The McKenna Institute and other partners.
This vision and growth plan seeks to create the next generation of technology/digitization thinkers, creators and leaders who will ensure the positive and equitable socioeconomic impact of the digital economy here in our province and beyond.
