Dr. Sajjad Dadkhah is an assistant professor, cybersecurity team leader, and faculty member at the Canadian Institute of Cybersecurity (CIC), Faculty of Computer Science, University of New Brunswick (UNB).

He has been involved in several security projects as research assistance and security consultant in different organizations such as Kyushu University (Japan), Universiti Malaya (UM), and IRIS Smart Technology Complex. He also won two Bronze and Gold medals from local and international invention competitions. He has published several novel articles in journals, book chapters, and conferences. He has more than seven years of experience in digital multimedia security, computer security, and machine learning-based detection systems.

In Sept 2016, he was awarded a fellowship by the Kyushu Institute of Technology (Japan) to continue his research. In July 2019, he was accepted as a cybersecurity team leader and researcher at the Canadian Institute of Cybersecurity (CIC). After one year, he was promoted to Associate researcher, a faculty member role equal to an assistant professor with more industrial duties. He is also working in the Applied Soft Computing (ASOC) Elsevier journal as a Board member, Associate editor, and Managing editor since 2016.
