Gholam R. Amin is an Associate Professor of Management Science in the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John, Canada. Prior to joining UNB in 2016, he taught at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman where he received the distinguished research award for his outstanding performance in research. Dr. Amin has received his Ph.D in Operations Research from Azad University (2003, Iran). He received the UNB Merit Award for the academic year 2019-2020.

Dr. Amin is an Associate Editor of IMA Journal of Management Mathematics at Oxford University Press. He was also a guest editor of this journal for the special issue of Recent Advances in Inverse Data Envelopment Analysis.

Dr. Amin is an editor of the SN Business and Economics at Springer. He also participated in the organizing and scientific committees of many international conferences and workshops.

He has taught different undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Research such as Management Science, Applied Optimization Methods, Quantitative Methods in Business, Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management.

His research interests include Performance Measurement and Management, Mathematical Programming and Productivity and Efficiency Analysis through Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) Operators, Data Aggregation, and Inverse Optimization.

Dr. Amin has published over 85 articles in several international top journals such as Operations Research (FT50), European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Productivity Analysis, Computers and Operations Research, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Computer Mathematics, Information Sciences, Computers and Industrial Engineering, European Journal of Sport Science, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, IMA Journal of Management Mathematics, and Abacus among others.

His publications have been cited more than 2900 times.
