Quantitative and Computational Approaches to Modeling Heterogeneity and Variability Across Brain and Cognitive Aging
May 15 at 1:30 PM in Snodgrass Lounge
Dr. Shannon Drouin, Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes on Aging, National Institutes of Health
Dr. Shannon Drouin will present her work using data-intensive methods to explore heterogenous brain and cognitive trajectories in older age including normal aging, cognitive decline, as well as neurodegenerative diseases and pathological outcomes. Associations between aging trajectories and multi-modal factors (e.g., epigenetic, lifestyle, conventional biomarker, vascular) are considered and discussed. Dr. Drouin will briefly discuss her plan for future research plans to utilize data-driven and data-intensive approaches to characterize novel aging phenotypes and uncover multi-modal factors associated with these aging processes.
