Join us on Wednesday, February 26, the UNB Early Childhood Centre and the UNB Faculty of Education, host The Sherman Early Childhood Learning Series: Literacies Across a Lifetime with Canadian author Kyo Maclear.
During the coming school year, selected Canadian authors will offer a one-hour online session open the public. The goal of this series is to engage participants in thinking and learning about the complexities of what it means to be diverse literate learners.

February 26: Kyo Maclear
Kyo Maclear is an essayist, novelist and children's author. Her nonfiction books include the hybrid memoir Birds Art Life (2017), a #1 Canadian bestseller, finalist for the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize for Nonfiction and winner of the Trillium Book Award, and Unearthing (2023), a Canadian bestseller and winner of the Governor General's Literary Award for Nonfiction.
She holds a doctorate in Environmental Humanities and teaches writing at the University of Guelph Creative Writing MFA. In 2023 was the recipient of the Vicky Metcalf Award for Young People for her body of work.
