Influenza virus or “the flu” is a common upper respiratory infection. It often starts with headaches, body aches, chills, and a cough or sore throat. You may also develop a fever, loss of appetite, fatigue, runny nose, and sneezing. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may occur. The flu can lead to missed time from school or work. It is very contagious, but also preventable. With the potential risks posed by COVID-19 and RSV, limiting the spread of influenza remains very important again this year. Getting immunized against the flu is the most efficient way to protect yourself, your family and community!
The vaccine is FREE! These clinics are open to staff, faculty, and students of the UNB and STU communities, as well as the general public. Join us 3rd-year UNB nursing students, in partnership with the UNB Student Health Centre, at one of these following dates:
Nov. 16 Student Union Building (SUB) Cafeteria 10 a.m. -2 p.m.
Do not forget your health card. Please leave enough time for a 15-minute wait after your injection. For more information contact the UNB Student Health Center.
