Commencement Activities-SJ

Event Details:

Commencement and graduation are ceremonies steeped in rituals and traditions that act as “bookends” to the academic experience of UNB students.

In Saint John, the event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 3:30 p.m. at the Ganong Hall Lecture Theatre. Staff, faculty and current students are invited to cheer on the new students while they walk through the Quad at 3:15 pm (rain location for procession is through tunnel system from the gym to Ganong Hall). We also encourage everyone to view the Commencement Ceremony via livestream in the Hazen Hall Lecture Theatre.

Commencement will begin with a procession of students to the event venue and will include messages from our President, Vice-President Academic, Vice-President Saint John and Kcicihtuwinut, Knowledge Carrier-in-Residence or Elders as well as a welcome from our student representatives.

Let’s show our new students the great support they can expect and how excited we are to welcome them to the UNB family.
