Natasha Youssef, a 2018 BBA graduate, will be speaking on the NBIF Business plan competition, Breakthru, from 12 - 12:30 p.m.. This competition allows NB entrepreneurs with early-stage business ideas to compete for over $500,000 in prizes and services. Natasha will present information on the Breakthru competition, as well as provide an overview of the venture capital process in this Lunch & Learn. Come to find out what it takes to "Breakthru," and how the magical world of venture capital works!
Nat Perry from Career and Employment services will be speaking on creating your own personal brand using Social Media tools from 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. Nat is currently a Career and Employment Advisor here at UNBF’s Career Development and Employment Centre (CDEC), and has over nine years’ experience in workshop design. Nat possesses a certification in life skills coaching and holds a degree in Media Arts and Cultures from UNB. As with all the staff at CDEC, she has a passion for helping students get excited about navigating their own unique employment paths and reaching their career goals.
Nat will cover how to manage your online presence and how this can influence your life opportunities just as much as how you conduct yourself in the real world. Learn how to proactively manage your social media presence and get it working for you in your job search. This workshop will also equip you with professional online presence best practices, helping you avoid common social media faux pas.
