Event Details:
On behalf of the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre (MMFC), the Abuse of Older Adults Research Team (ANOART) would like to invite you to the 2018 MMFC Conference on Abuse of Older Women: A Community-based Approach. Guest speakers and research experts will provide their unique perspectives on the issue of abuse of older women in Canada, featuring keynote speaker Janice Du Mont of the Women’s College Research Institute at the University of Toronto. This conference is a great opportunity for scholars, health care providers, personal support workers, government representatives, and everyone in between, to learn more about the unique experiences and needs of a vulnerable population. It is also a great networking opportunity, especially for those who are interested in this area of research. We would also like to encourage you to share this information with your networks to raise awareness of this emerging issue.
The cost of registration is $50 (+HST) for general admission and $35 (+HST) for student admission. This includes parking passes and lunch on the second day of the conference. Refreshments will be available throughout the conference, free of charge.
