In a recent milestone for two graduate students at the University of New Brunswick, Sara and Leonard placed first and second, respectively, in the Graduate Student Poster Competition. This event evaluated graduate students’ designs on both presentation skills and research innovation.
Growing up in Fredericton, Craig was always a car guy, just like his father. It wasn’t surprising, then, that while a mechanical engineering student at UNB, he was part of a team that built and raced what would become a legendary Coaster Derby car that has careened down the steep hills of UNB’s Fredericton campus for decades in the annual Coaster Derby.

Trevor Hanson, who has worked in transportation for over a decade, says that means more demands on the province's public transportation systems. But, he says, while research at the national level is good at capturing transportation trends for large cities, the province's municipalities often lack the resources needed to understand their public transportation needs.
