This course examines concepts and terms commonly used in criminology, the relationship between theory and practice, the history and evolution of criminological thought and methods of investigation into criminal behaviour. The practical applications of criminology and the foundations of a modern criminal justice policy are also discussed.
Note: This course is cross listed as CRIM 1603. Credit can only be obtained for one of CRIM 1603 or SOCI 1603.
