Using the biopsychosocial model of health, this course introduces you to health topics, such as disease, and lifestyle conditions, while highlighting the role our physical, psychological and social environment we are in has on these health concerns. The topic of stress is presented as a common element of all these topics. Interventions, including mindfulness, are taught as contemporary approaches to managing health conditions and stress management.
Using online lecture recordings, contemporary videos and websites, students will be immersed in a ‘live’ learning environment that they can access when it is right for them, depending on their needs and personal schedule.
