It gives an ideal grounding for those who have plans to take a PMP® Preparation course to prepare for the Project Management Institute (PMI®), Project Management Professional (PMP®), or the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) designation.

Courses

The courses in this certificate program are delivered virtually with a live instructor. All instructors are skilled facilitators who use a variety of techniques to maintain engagement and optimize the learning environment. Most of the courses are offered up to four times a year.

To receive a certificate, you must take:

• Four core courses:
  • Project Management Essentials*
  • Project Risk Management
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
  • Managing Variances: Cost and Schedule Management
    
• Four elective courses, from a list of six options:
  • Project Procurement and Contract Management
  • Defining and Managing Project Requirements
  • Project Closeout Best Practices
  • Leading Project Driven Change
  • Project Delivery Principles
  • Introduction to Agile Project Management

You can register for the entire certificate or take the courses individually. If you choose to take a course on its own, the credit you receive can be put toward the certificate at any time.

*After taking Project Management Essentials, the rest of the courses can be taken in any sequence.

This certificate is ideal for those who need to balance work commitments, the time required to take professional development training, and personal or organizational funding cycles. You have three years to complete the program.
