This seminar can also be taken as part of our Management Development Program (MDP).

Diversity in the workplace is an important issue that all employees in any organization need to understand. Today, more and more organizations are creating cultures that support diversity and inclusion by respecting, developing and utilizing each employee's differences to create a competitive strength.

This seminar covers the importance of diversity to your organization, how to work in an environment that supports a diverse workforce, how to avoid potential problems and how to develop your own strengths through diversity and inclusion.

Learning objectives

When you are finished this seminar, you will:

  • Understand the fundamentals of diversity in the workplace
  • Recognize the effects of diversity in the workplace
  • Identify what each generation wants and needs from each other
  • Strengthen communication skills to improve understanding across cultures
  • Recognize what we can learn from each other

Instructor

Brenda Page is a certified professional coach who was born in Connecticut, USA, but spent most of her schooling years in New Brunswick, including attending UNB. She has recently returned to New Brunswick after spending the past 20 years in Vancouver. Brenda has dedicated her life to contributing to others after she was not given favourable odds to survive open-heart surgery at the age of 11. Her mission is to enlighten, inspire, awaken and empower individuals to live every moment 'on purpose' and 'not by accident'. She is determined to assist individuals reach their full potential and create the life they deserve. Brenda is self-employed as the founder of Crystal Clear Concepts since 1992. She has designed HR programs, workshops and training programs for Corporate and Private businesses and Provincial & Federal Government training and coaching initiatives throughout BC.
