Every year, outstanding alumni are celebrated at the Proudly UNB awards. Saluted for their achievements and their ability to inspire, they bring honour to themselves and to their alma mater.
Passion, spirit and strength are embedded in the DNA of UNB’s athletes. On the court or on the field, in the classroom or in the community, our athletes demonstrate a commitment to success.
Twelve outstanding undergraduate students were recognized as 2017 Sir Howard Douglas Scholars for their academic excellence and commitment to being active members of the university and surrounding community.
UNB faculty and staff are committed to excellence. They are innovators and mentors whose knowledge and passion inspire and encourage students and others to achieve success, to solve problems, to create change and to follow their dreams. These are just some of the outstanding examples of the champions of the UNB community.
Transitioning to university is a time of change for many students and it's important to have proper support systems in place to ensure academic and personal success. UNB’s peer support services are strengthening the university community with non-judgmental and confidential one-on-one peer support.
With a goal of $110 million, UNB’s It Begins Here campaign — the most ambitious fundraising effort in the university’s history — is undertaken with people like Ethan Augustine in mind. Mr. Augustine, a third-year biology major from Metepenagiag First Nation, is a dedicated student, driven to top academic achievement and inspired by family to pursue education.
