Statistics

Faculty: Faculty of Science, Applied Science, and Engineering
Degree(s): Bachelor of Science
Campus: Saint John

Simply put, statistics is the science of learning from data.

With vast amounts of data being gathered every day and from all aspects of our society, we need statistics to help us make sense out of the information collected. The beauty of statistics is that it can be combined with virtually any other discipline, whether its science, medicine, computer science, sports, finance or engineering. As the awareness of the importance of statistics continues to grow, so does the demand for statisticians and statistical expertise.

A major or minor in statistics is possible in both the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts programs. Our statistics electives tend to complement any major or minor program.
