Faculty: Faculty of Business
Degree(s): Bachelor of Business Administration
Campus: Saint John

The HRM major at UNB Saint John prepares students to manage the human side of organizations. Graduates are equipped to work in private and public sectors, addressing issues like employee satisfaction, rights, union impacts, compensation, recruitment, and training.
In the BBA program, you must complete a minimum of eight term courses (24 credit hours). Six of these are compulsory; the remaining two courses must be chosen from available electives.
Involves four human resource courses.
The Certificate in Human Resource Management is ideal for individuals with prior HR experience or other degrees seeking to deepen HR knowledge without committing to the full degree.
Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) students should note that pursuing a minor may require them to complete more than the minimum number of credit hours required for the BAM degree. Core courses in this program may not form part of the concentration.
Completing a UNB BBA with an HR major can satisfy parts of the requirements for the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources New Brunswick (CPHRNB) designation, a nationally recognized credential.
UNB Saint John has an agreement with CPHR NB, allowing eligible graduates to waive the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) required for certification, provided specific criteria are met.
