Economics is about answering how and why. How and why do we produce, distribute, and purchase our goods and services? How and why do we address problems? How and why do we make decisions? When we attempt to answer those questions, we attempt to understand Economics.
In UNB’s Economics program, you’ll learn to use analytical, mathematical, and statistical techniques to answer questions and solve problems. You’ll examine the roles individuals, consumers, small businesses, managers, CEOs, and politicians play in shaping both the Canadian and global economies.
Economics is available as a minor, major, and honours in the Bachelor of Arts program; as a major in the Bachelor of Business Administration program; and as an option in the Bachelor of Science program.
A certificate in Economics and a certificate in Financial Markets are also available.
Classes are interactive with award winning instructors and provide opportunities for you to debate, question, and work closely with your instructors and peers.
