KIN3920Athletic Therapy and Foundations of Strength & Conditioning 6 ch (6C/L) (EL)

Combines field-based experiential learning, interactive lectures, and professional mentorship to introduce sport therapies and strength and conditioning foundations. Develops knowledge and skills related to emergency action plans, athletic taping and wraps, acute injury management and care, human anatomy, joint assessment, tissue remodeling, adaptive processes and exercise technique. Working with a REDS athletic team, therapy support and care are provided in practice and competition settings including: taping, acute injury management and care, clinic communication, assisting clinical therapists with athlete rehab protocols, and injury logging. Note: Credit will not be given for KIN 3920, KIN 3930.
