FILM3455Latin American Cinema (Cross-listed: MAAC/CCS 3455)3 ch

Provides students with a background in Latin American cinema, emphasizing the most productive centres such as Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, and Argentina. Equal emphasis is placed on both cinematographic and thematic analysis of films studied. Cultural and historical context will be provided. Language of instruction is English. Students taking this course to fufill a Major or Honours requirement in Spanish must submit required work in Spanish. Students who have completed WLCS 3455, or SPAN 3455 may not receive credit for CCS 3455.  

Prerequisites: 30 credit hours of university courses.
