Learn to effectively plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate development projects in diverse cultural contexts. Discover the breadth of project design in Medical Anthropology through group discussion, realistic project scenarios, simulations, and case studies. Build understanding through course components including case studies of development projects and participatory methods in action. In studying the design of development projects, emphasis is placed on integrating gender perspectives, including gender mainstreaming and empowerment strategies as well as ethical considerations, regulations, and codes of conduct, especially as they relate to culturally diverse settings.
