Provides an introduction to diversity and inclusion in adult learning situations. The objectives of this course are to stimulate adult educators' examination of their beliefs about adult education; to explore social justice philosophies and to critically examine an inclusive teaching practice. Topics include the competing purposes of education, poverty, multiculturalism, anti-racism, gender, sexual orientation, indigenization and decolonization and possibly other related issues at the discretion of the instructor. Studetns may receive credit for ED 4012 or ADED 4012, but not both. |
