This course provides an introduction to ethical theory and its application to contemporary issues in bio-ethics. There are seven units in the course, which are: Ethical Theory, Relationships in Health Care, Consent, Abortion, Euthanasia, Scarce Medical Resources, and Acquiring and Distributing Body Parts. Note: Students can receive credit for only one of PHIL 3203 and PHIL 3207. Although open to all students, this course does not count toward the Major or Honours requirements for Philosophy students. |
