Critiques the racist colonial histories of European and European-descendant collecting practices, such as "cabinets of curiosities," public museums, world's fairs, art galleries, and educational and scientific venues, moving to more contemporary contexts that include ethnographic film and internet culture. Focuses on creative strategies of anti-colonial and decolonial resistance in the work of artists, curators, museum professionals, and filmmakers.
