This course is an alternative introduction to microeconomics. The aim is to be less comprehensive than ECON 1013, but to go deeper into the core topics to provide a more thorough critical perspective. In the process, the political and philosophical ideas underlying conventional economic conclusions are examined. The limitations of conventional economic reasoning, and the biases that may exist, are exposed. Students with credit in ECON 1001, 1013 or 1073 may not take this course for credit.
