| Builds on foundational knowledge of nursing theories and critically reflects on the utility of theories in guiding advanced practice. Explores the interplay between nursing theories and those from other disciplines and encourages development of a clear understanding of the philosophical, scientific and contextual underpinnings of the nursing profession. Students are prepared to articulate an advanced nursing perspective for engaging in leadership, clinical, consultative, and collaborative and research roles. This is a core course in all streams. |
