Core concepts of Digital Twins and Cyber-Physical Systems are explored in the course. Starting from their theoretical foundations in production and mechanical systems, and data and computer science, key aspects of digital twins such as modelling and simulation, data fusion, and interaction and collaboration from a systems and control standpoint will be the focus. Use IIoT, data acquisition, signal processing, modelling, and monitoring and control of physical elements, systems and processes are discussed with case studies in digital twinning.
