Examines international financial management from the viewpoint of the individual firm. After explaining the concept of the balance of payments, consideration is given to foreign exchange markets and exchange rate systems (including Eurocurrency systems), exchange rate risk and the economics of currency exposure, and the arbitrage process. The subjects of international portfolio management, capital flows including direct investment, the financing of multinational enterprises, taxation and transfer pricing, capital budgeting and the cost of capital in an international setting are dealt with.
