This course is an opportunity for students who will be using qualitative data collection and analysis approaches for their thesis research or research report to situate such approaches within the context of recreation, leisure and sport research; to learn about different theoretical approaches that guide qualitative data collection and analysis in recreation and sport; to become familiar with strategies that ensure rigor among qualitative approaches; and to practice data collection and analysis procedures.
