| This course introduces students to the philosophical foundations that guide research design in recreation and sport. Students will examine different theoretical frameworks, qualitative, quantitative and mixed methodologies and methods relevant to recreation and sport. Critical thinking of knowledge generation in recreation and sport studies that is relevant to academia, industry (program evaluation, service delivery, decision making) and/or pedagogical knowledge in recreation and sport industries is developed.Prerequisites: None |
