This course focusses on the development of biomechanical models of the human musculoskeletal system, and the application of these models to study the biomechanics of human movement. Graduate students will be guided through the entire process of developing a musculoskeletal model of a system of inter-connected load bearing joints (leg, arm, spine, etc.), evaluating the model with 3D motion analysis data, and how to analyse, interpret, and communicate the outcomes.
