The cross country program at UNB has a history of producing outstanding runners. Head Coach Tim Randall has been instrumental in developing and nurturing some of the best talent in Canada and has created a deep, rich tradition of excellence in the cross country program at UNB.
Managed by Jason Reindl (Head Coach of Track and Field) and coached by a dedicated group on both campuses - Chris Gairns, James Murphy, Bill MacMackin and Catherine Tremblay - athletes on the UNB Cross Country team are well looked after.
Our program competes in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) and Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) levels, which are the highest levels of varsity sport in Canada. This provides runners in the area and beyond with the opportunity to aspire to reach their athletic potential by competing against the best in the region and nation.
UNB students from both Saint John and Fredericton have the opportunity to compete for the Varsity Reds. Like track and field, this is a bi-campus varsity program with coaches on both campuses.
