
Organized by the Office of the Vice President Research, UNB's Research Celebration Week is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the efforts and achievements of our institution's research community, and the support of the partners who make these accomplishments possible.
Our flagship event this year is a UNB Research Centre and Institute Showcase. These groups represent some of UNB’s leading hubs of research excellence, frequently sought out by our industry, government, and community partners.

Join us to hear from UNB's Indigenous student researchers and faculty as they share their stories and the work that drives their passion and impact.
This showcase celebrates the excellence of Indigenous scholarship at UNB, bringing together researchers, students, and community members to recognize achievements, foster new connections, and inspire future collaborations.

Each presenter will have three minutes to provide a flash overview to introduce themselves and their research programs.
We will also welcome Dr. Saqib Hakak, associate professor in computer science and recipient of the 2026 University Research Scholar award, as a guest speaker.
Please join us for light refreshments and networking before and after presentations.

We invite you to attend a dynamic showcase of UNB’s research centres and institutes. This drop-in friendly, tradeshow-style event will feature booths from many of UNB’s leading hubs of research excellence, showcasing their available expertise and recent achievements.
Stop in any time throughout the morning for opportunities to learn about these groups and for networking and light refreshments.

UNB Fredericton | Engineering Commons (Head Hall)
The Graduate Research Poster Symposium provides Engineering graduate students the opportunity to present their research in poster format, and the Images of Research Competition showcases visual representations of their research.
2 - 4 p.m.
UNB Fredericton | Science Concourse (I.U.C. Library)
Celebrate the research being done by our graduate students with a poster show! Light refreshments will be provided.
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
UNB Saint John | Oland Hall, room 104
Learn about cutting edge research in the Faculty of Science, Applied Science and Engineering! This session will feature one presentation from each Department in the Faculty (Engineering, Math and Stats, Computer Science, Psychology, and Biological Sciences. Each speaker will be elected by their home Departments.

Learn about cutting-edge research in the Faculty of Science, Applied Science and Engineering (SASE)! In this session, students will present posters of their research.
Posters will be displayed around the room and students will be standing-by to explain their research and answer questions. It is a great way to get an overview of all of the exciting research in SASE explained by the students leading each project.
Posters will be judged and there will be prizes for the top three posters for travel awards to help the student present their research at a scientific conference.
