Course Description:

This course complements the material covered in other certificate courses by offering hands-on training and practice in the applications of Applied Behaviour Analysis. Students learn how to conduct various behaviour assessments and implement intervention strategies through instruction, demonstration, and practice.

Course Features:

Each of the 5 units of the course will consist of assigned textbook readings and selected peer-reviewed journal articles and accompanying reading guides to help students navigate through the key concepts, content expert videos, one or more lectures to further understanding, and an assignment to demonstrate your skills.

Course Format:

The course is divided into 5 units
1. Creating graphs and analyzing behavioral data
2. Conducting preference and reinforcer assessments
3. Implementing discrete trial training and incidental teaching
4. Implementing differential reinforcement and noncontingent reinforcement contingencies
5. Conducting staff traininga

Assignments & Examinations:
Lectures and Guided Notes (20 x 4) = 80 Points

Unit Assignments

(5 x 100) = 500 Points
Total Points Available 580 points

Final grades will be calculated by dividing the total number of points earned by 580 and multiplying by 100.

All mid-term exams and final exams for online courses will be invigilated at an approved time and location. Please refer to the Online Exam Request Form to book.

Time Limit: 6 months from registration date. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date of your course.
