Course Description:

This course is an analysis of the elements involved in marketing decisions, marketing planning, and implementation through the application of marketing concepts and decision-making tools.

This course will be taught using articles to provide students exposure to key marketing concepts. In addition, supplemental material will build towards the development of a comprehensive marketing plan. In order to derive maximum benefit from the readings, it is essential that students actively engage in the discussions that follow each reading assignment.

Course Format:

Course topics will be presented in a sequence of modules. It is important that each module be completed before proceeding to the next module (course topic). Course topics will be introduced via assigned readings and will be explored in more detail with a combination of class discussions, preparation of a comprehensive marketing plan, and preparation of a book review.

Assignments & Examinations:

The final grade for the course will be based on two article presentations, a comprehensive readings test, a book review, a marketing plan and participation. The readings test will be a comprehensive open-book test of assigned articles and assignments.

All mid-term exams and final exams for online courses will be invigilated at an approved time and location. Please refer to the Online Exam Request Form to book.
