Finance is about finding the most effective way to use the money you have, the money you'll make, and the money you'll spend.

UNB’s Finance program will teach you how to plan, manage, and analyze an organization’s financial activities and make important investment decisions that will maximize profits. You’ll learn about key business principles, such as investments, budgets, and mergers and acquisitions, and you’ll explore how individuals and businesses use resources over time.

  • Student Investment Fund coursework – manage a fund now worth over $8 million, and prepare for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Finance club – networking opportunities with financial professionals
  • Certificate programs in business administration

Skills you will acquire:

  • Proficient with financial software such as Bloomberg (can lead to Bloomberg certification)
  • Manage assets and liabilities of a publicly-owned enterprise
  • Manage and analyze financial assets (securities)
  • Understand how global economic situations impact financial planning and decisions
  • Understand capital markets
