What is the respective roles and strengths of qualitative and quantitative methods? How can a large comparative project reflect the specificities of each case study while enabling comparative insights? What are some promising practices in developing qualitative health research capacity in a distributed leadership model across a large project? What happens when curious minds come together? Guided by this question, Grad Students Talking follows six UNB Masters and PhD students as they engage with each other’s research, discovering how it advances the frontiers of knowledge in their respective fields. The documentary captures the spirit of curiosity and interdisciplinary exchange, as each student steps into the role of both interviewer and interviewee. From the Fredericton and Saint John campuses, these emerging researchers engage in candid exploratory conversations, delving into personal journeys through their inquiry and graduate student life and work. As the interviews unfold, each student embarks on an excursion that moves beyond the borders of their individual disciplines, illuminating the diverse and innovative research happening at UNB. Through collaborative storytelling, Grad Students Talking invites viewers to witness the connections and discoveries that emerge when minds from different fields come together.
